Domain Name Application

You will obtain a Nic-Handle (NH) after registration of domain name to perform basic operations on our website. For old users, please use remind password function to retrieve your nic handle and password. These information will be sent to you.

Apply here for a domain name. Fill in the name of the desired domain name. If the domain name is available you will be guided through the application process and as a new user you will be given a Nic-Handle.

Please note that only 4 or more character names are available for direct registration. Should you wish to apply for a 1, 2, or 3 character name please contact admin@nic.cd for pricing and conditions.

Dear Partner/Registrar,

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that we will be activating the domain life cycle within 10 working days. This mean that all domains which have not been renewed for the past 3 month +, will be dropped from our registry Database. This feature was disabled during the transition while the handover was taking place between the previous manager and current manager - OCPT, in addition to the interruption the registry encountered during February 2010 with the primary DNS. Thus means domains in such category will be lost from your Registrar account and can only be reinstated through re-registration.

We are therefore appealing to you, to take necessary measure before the 1st January 2011 to ensure that there is compliance in this regard.

On this note, we would like to wish you an happy festive season and happy new year 2011.
